Our Staff

	Vicki Raised in Richmond, Vicki received her bachelor degree and MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University. After spending a couple decades in the corporate IT world, she has found the greatest satisfaction in her small business ownership and helping local families in her community. She opened College Nannies & Tutors in early 2008 and enjoys the interaction with so many people, the kids, the parents, the nannies, the tutors and so many new networking opportunities found in running a business.
	Carmen Carmen brings several years of administrative and marketing expertise to our team. She also has nanny and babysitting experience as well as teaching experience in Henrico County Public Schools. Carmen received her BA from Manchester Metropolitain University in the United Kingdom. She is responsible for overseeing nanny and tutor placements, marketing, and daily operations.
	Laura Laura received her Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and French from Virginia Tech and is currently working on her teaching license and Masters in Education at the University of Richmond. She has 15 years of nanny and babysitting experience as well as one year of teaching experience abroad in France. She is responsible for tutoring, helping with long-term nanny placements, and assisting Carmen and Vicki as needed in other daily operations. She is thrilled to be a part of College Nannies and Tutors!

Micia I am a 21 year old VCU student member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority currently majoring in Criminal Justice. I am a very well rounded individual with lots of stories, however I will stick to the basics and hope that one day I will have the pleasure of sharing some of my adventures. I come from a military family with 2 siblings. We are extremely close and I value family a great deal. I am a very outgoing, spunky and adventurous person yet I still have a very professional reserved side. I believe life is about balance and order which I believe I have mastered. I love kids and have a lot of experience due to my mom being a Childhood Developer and having her own business. I have always helped her with her business and interacted with the children as well as playing an active role in my younger brothers life by helping to raise him.

Sarah My name is Sarah. I am currently 23 years of age and enrolled at VCU as a Theater Major. The performing arts is something I have enjoyed participating in since a very young age and it has not only contributed to my growing as a presence on stage, but also as a responsible young adult in teaching me discipline and accountability. My other interests outside of school extend in many different directions. Two of my favorite are reading and cooking. I can never seem to get enough of books. I also very much enjoy finding a recipe that sounds delightful and then preparing it to share with loved ones. Another part of me that gives me a great foundation is my family and friends. I have been fortunate enough to grow up with a very supportive and stable home life which has enabled me to find solid friendships.

Some of our Tutors

Allison I'm a former high school science teacher who loves teaching and interacting with older kids as well as exploring the world with young toddlers and school-age kids! I can't seem to stop going to school. I have a BS in Biology and an MAEd in Curriculum and Instruction from W&M and I'm currently pursuing a BSN through Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing. I started working with College Nannies in the spring of 2011 doing tutoring and on-call nanny work. I love being outside and don't mind bugs or getting dirty. I'm an animal-lover with a cat and a dog at home and I've had snakes, turtles and Madagascar hissing cockroaches as classroom pets! I enjoy reading, crafts, playing games, cooking and theater. I also love to sing and will happily join in for some at-home karaoke. Although I'm fairly new with College Nannies, I have LOVED my experiences so far! Playing Disney Monopoly in treehouses, doing Taylor Swift sing-alongs and cheering as my charges impress me with their diving board skills hardly seems like work!
