Our Staff
![]() | Stacey I am a New Yorker born and raised, and have been working with College Nannies & Tutors - Upper East Side office since its inception in 2007. I started as Family Placement Coordinator and was honored to add the role of General Manager to my plate in mid-2008. I truly enjoy helping NY families and hope to make our office a vital part of the community, in helping to build strong families, as well as training and employing top-notch, qualified nannies.I attended NYC public high schools, including Stuyvesant High School, and during that time developed a love for teaching and tutoring. As a Communications major at The Annenberg School at the University of Pennsylvania, I continued to delve into education as an SAT prep private tutor and class teacher. Upon graduating, I was hired as an agent at Famous Frames, Inc. I represented artists for advertising agencies and production companies and really learned to work with different people - most often serving as liaison on jobs between the artist and the client, as well as recruiting talent for specific projects. Working with College Nannies & Tutors has married these two worlds - education and recruiting/services. It allows me to put my all into hiring exceptional nannies and tutors (with the help of our recruitment manager, Yshaia King!) and helping families find the best person to fit their childcare and tutoring needs. I had a wonderful childhood growing up in NYC, and am thrilled to re-explore the city and all that it offers for children, with my 4yo niece, Ava. I can only hope that the work we do at College Nannies & Tutors - Upper East Side, helps to afford other NYC families this great opportunity. Our team grew up here and have always considered New York City, home. We have special insight into what makes this place so great and are delighted to be able to share that with as many families in the area as possible! |
![]() | Yshaia My work with College Nannies & Tutors began in the summer of 2007. Between semesters at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, I was a summer nanny. In the past year I have transitioned from being a nanny, to an administrative role, and finally, to my current position as Recruitment Manager/On-Call Coordinator for our Upper East Side office. While attending Stuyvesant High School, I worked as an after-school and summer camp counselor. I was also involved in elementary school tutoring programs. In Michigan, while pursuing my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Chemistry and Spanish Language, I worked as a high school calculus tutor, a substitute teacher, a kindergarten teaching assistant, and an after-school program coordinator for Ann Arbor Public Schools. I am grateful for the experiences that I have gained through the hands-on educational and recreational programs I have been a part of. I believe in using creativity to stimulate children. From cooking clubs, to knitting classes, to coaching basketball, I have gained great insight into their needs. My background with children enables me to recognize particular qualities in other potential nanny candidates. I look to hire and place nannies who have a genuine interest in working with children. I am from New York City, and have a primary educational and cultural base here. It is very useful when interacting with families, including my own, as I have a seven year-old sister. Through the recruitment of a strong team, I’m happy to use my experiences to further the development and happiness of our many College Nannies & Tutors children and their families. |

![]() | Veronique Hello! My name is Veronique and I look forward to learning, growing and developing with children every day.As a nanny, my first family was a six year, beautiful relationship, from the time the little boy was 3 mo and since the mom found out she was pregnant with the girl (a couple months later)! My second family I was with for two years, starting when their son was 11mo. I spoke to him only in French and we explored the world bilingually. Even though I don't see these kids every day anymore, I'm still very much a part of their lives and vice versa. It's a really great feeling to be a part of their birthdays and random play dates in between, after all these years. In addition to my ten years as a Nanny, I was also a Big Sister for a 13 yo girl for 3 years. She came from a single parent home and is an only child. I served as a mentor and friend to her. We went on outings 2x/month to dance, theatre or just walking around. I've watched her really come out of her shell over the last few years which has been really beautiful to see and to be a part of. With a B.A. in Theatre, my experience as a Teacher has played a huge role in the way I interact with children. I taught visual and performing arts, movement and voice to kids 6 yo - 16 yo. Introducing art (in various genres) to children has allowed them to communicate in other ways. We might make songs up while walking along, create a secret place for treasures to go under a rock pile, or shake our sillies out in a dance. Now that I'm part of the College Nannies Team, I am lucky enough to be introduced to new families in New York. Whether for a single date night or a series of days, the kids and I bond and form lasting relationships. I honor what the parents' are developing with their children with a playful, energetic and fun spirit. |
![]() | Barbara Hello my name is Barbara and I am a Penn State graduate with a degree in Psychology and a minor is Sociology. My prior experiences range widely from being a lifeguard, waitress, teacher, nanny and working with a boy with down syndrome. Each of which enhanced and widened my skills whether it was supervising the safety of others, multitasking at a fast paced restaurant, educating first graders, or assisting with daily tasks etc. I have a great passion for the arts as well; my experience involves many years in dance, art, as well as playing the flute and piccolo. I am also bilingual (Polish). I took part in many activities, sports and travels which has made me a well rounded and open minded person and full of ideas for children to never experience a dull moment. I'm currently the PT nanny for 3yo boy/girl twins, and have experience with twins of all ages. |
