Hi my name is Amanda and I am a college student who is passionate about education and bettering her community. She was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Her parents arrived from Mexico when they were young in search of a better and more promising future. Amanda grew up with this same mentality and has been working towards her future by getting an education and focusing on her passion for people and community.
Amanda was raised in the south Houston area and she attended South Houston High School where she became a member of JROTC for 3 years (2010-2013). While in JROTC she earned distinguished awards such as Best Platoon Leader, Color Guard awards, and the American Legion Award.
She takes any opportunity she can to volunteer in her community, including projects like Seniors Helping Seniors where high school seniors from SHHS paint homes for senior citizens. She also loves volunteering in local elementary schools because she loves kids and loves to contribute to their learning and growth.
She has been a babysitter since the age of 16 starting with her immediate family and close neighbors. At the age of 18, she took a job with The Primrose School being a teacher assistant in a preschool class with 24 students. That job in particular is where she really fell in love with working with kids.
Amanda loves to spend time with her family, anyone's kids, and she considers herself a life-long learner. She is interested in psychology, child development, art, and cultures. Her favorite thing to do in Houston is going to museums with friends.

Hello! My name is Mishaal Rahman. I'm a recent graduate from the University of Texas at Austin, and I'm pleased to be able to serve you and your family! Tutoring is a passion of mine, I LOVE seeing the look on a child's face when my teaching has gotten through to them! I hope to impart the knowledge I've gained for myself to any student who wants to learn.
My goal in life is to eventually pursue a career in medicine, and I view tutoring/teaching as a big step in helping me along this path. A life in medicine is a life in service, and I hope that my service rendered here will help students in need!
