Maxine
Maxine

She grew up in Washington, D.C., and then relocated to New Jersey due to a corporate move in 1987 and lived there for 12 years. In 1999, Maxine relocated back to the D.C. area and settled in Maryland. She received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from George Washington University, and her Master's in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Rutgers' University. After spending a couple decades in several sales and marketing roles in the corporate world, Maxine transitioned into being a College Nannies & Tutor owner and enjoys helping local families in her community. Given her passion for children and education, she is excited about working with families to provide a customized solution for their childcare and tutoring needs.

Tisha
Tisha

Tisha grew up in northwest Ohio and began working with children as a teenager. While studying communications at the University of Charleston (W.Va), she served as captain of the women’s rowing team, editor in chief of the school paper, and a peer tutor in the university writing center. Following graduation, Tisha became a full-time nanny for a Charleston family of five. She moved to the DC area in 2007 and spent five years as a researcher and editor for a Maryland-based public relations software company. Tisha has worked with Montgomery County children and families as an after-school nanny and a devoted community volunteer. Her passion for quality childcare and community involvement brought her to College Nannies and Tutors in March 2012.

Ornella
Ornella

Ornella is studying international relations at American University, with a possible minor in public health. After college, she hopes to continue her education at either Georgetown University or Johns Hopkins. Her dream job would be to work either at the World Bank or the United Nations. Born in Quebec City, Ornella lived in Montreal for the majority of her childhood. A fluent French speaker, she has lived in the DMV area since 2010. She started out caring for family members' children, and then, discovering her talent for it, decided to pursue it as a job. She enjoys children because they are genuine and naturally silly. She also appreciates each child's unique sense of creativity and finds it fascinating to see how they can make a game out of anything. Working with children reminds Ornella there is always something new to learn form people of all ages.

Currently a student in the public health program at the University of Maryland College Park, she plans to attend Physician Assistant school after completing her bachelor's degree. In high school, she enjoyed teaching in the preschool at her school as well as babysitting for neighbors and family friends. Following high school, she worked at a daycare with infants through school age children; and as an aide for an elementary school's before and after care program, where she created lesson plans and organized activities for the children. Daniela's interests include reading, being outdoors, going to museums, shopping and exercising.
