She moved to the DC area in 2007 and spent five years as a researcher and editor for a Maryland-based public relations software company. Tisha has worked with Montgomery County children and families as an after-school nanny and a devoted community volunteer. Alexi is a student-athlete at American University majoring in criminal justice with a minor in child psychology. Following graduation, she plans to pursue a graduate program in juvenile justice. Alexi chose her academic discipline primarily because she enjoys spending time with children and learning about each one individually. One of her main goals is to promote a better and brighter future for the next generation. She plans to achieve that goal through a career as a juvenile defense lawyer and/or juvenile correctional counselor.
After realizing how much she enjoyed her time with the younger members of her own family, Alexi decided to work at a daycare, which was one of the most rewarding experiences of her life. She is happy to continue along that path as a College Sitter.
Latisha is a student at Syracuse University, majoring in psychology and public health. She plans to attend medical school or to continue on to earn her PhD in one of these fields. Her ultimate goal is to become a child psychologist or a pediatric psychiatrist. Latisha first realized she wanted to work with children after her first job at a children's recreation facility. She then became a party hostess at Chuck E Cheese and picked up babysitting gigs whenever she could. The enjoyment she feels when working with kids is one of the reasons she wants to pursue a career serving them.
