I have nannied for 3.5 years for families with multiple children, including experience with twins and special needs children. I am currently available 7 days a week as I am taking college courses online working toward a bachelors degree. I am CPR and First aid certified for both Child and adult and AED trained as well through the American Heart Association. I am able to do light household chores, late nights when needed, and can provide homework help for elementary and middle school students.
I graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology from North Carolina State University in December 2014. I hope to be a children's counselor or social worker. My biggest role model is the pastor of the college and career department at my church. He is also the youth pastor of the middle and high schoolers, and he is such an inspiration to all of them. I help out with several events in the youth group as a chaperone. I love spending time with kids and hope to impact their life in some way.

My name is Erica Battles and I am a junior music education major at Meredith College. My primary instrument at Meredith is the oboe, but I also play the flute, piano, and guitar! I have two younger brothers and two dogs. I have a passion for learning and teaching and I hope to one day teach middle school band. Aside from being a tutor, I also teach marching band at a high school in Raleigh, NC, and give private music lessons. I like to go on walks and spend time with my friends and family.
I have always been very successful in school, and I take pride in being an academic resource for my peers and for younger students. I was a freshman mentor my junior and senior year of high school, and I hope to continue to be a resource for high schoolers as they prepare for college. I tutor my colleagues in music theory at Meredith several times a week. I am very organized and I teach good study (or practice) habits to each of my students. I enjoy meeting new people and I love working with children!
