Donna was raised in Corpus Christi, TX and graduated with honors from Texas A&M University with a BS in Computer Science and an MS in Industrial Engineering. She worked in the corporate world for 12 years, subsequently taking time off to raise three active children and enjoy her family. In early 2007, Donna and Doug opened College Nannies + Tutors in Austin, and is excited to continue to grow and serve local families.
She particularly enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. Other interests include tennis, biking, meeting interesting people, and all things related to business.
Raised in Indiana, along with his eight siblings, Doug graduated from Purdue University with a degree in electrical engineering. He accepted his first corporate position in New York, where he met the love of his life while she was on a temporary assignment. It didn't take long for him to follow her back to Texas, where they were married. Residents of Austin since the early 80's, they have raised three children who all received degrees from Texas A&M and have struck out on their own. In 2007, Doug and Donna opened the first College Nannies & Tutors (CNT) location in Texas, which seemed a natural fit given the value they place on family and education. It gives them great pride to help families every day to navigate the demands of life and to make it a little less stressful. Doug decided in 2012 to leave his corporate job and devote himself to CNT full time. He likes to say he cut back from two jobs to one! They currently operate 4 offices in the Austin area.

Hi yall! My name is Tori and I'm a recent graduate from Texas Tech University. WRECK EM! I completed two degrees, finishing with a Chemistry B.A. and a Psychology B.A. I will start at the University of Texas Pharmacy School in the fall and hope to specialize in pediatric pharmacy. I absolutely love being outdoors and active, but I occasionally eat way too many mashed potatoes. More often than not you'll find me playing with my corgi puppy Bandit. But my favorite thing to do is making people smile with my goofy personality!
It is such an honor to be named this month's Tutor of the Month. I owe all the credit to my amazing students, who come in and work so hard day in and day out. I wouldn't be able to help anyone who wasn't really looking to learn and improve. My time here at CNT has been such a wonderful experience because the kids and families are all so great. The students have given me so much. The most rewarding feeling in the world is the one when you see your student finally understand that concept you have been struggling through together. Thanks to everyone who makes my job a joy!
All students have the potential for greatness. A commitment to learning is one of the most important investments one can make, and I am humbled to be given the chance to share my knowledge with others. After nearly five years, I think back to some of my first students and imagine where they are now – some in professional school, others starting their own careers, or perhaps they have already established themselves in a trade. I wonder where my students now will be in another five years, and I am glad for the time I have been given to influence their journey. Every day that I meet and work with these students is a gift, and I am eternally grateful for the time I have spent as a tutor.
