I am a mother of a 8 yr old girl, I am also a Girl Scout leader and a faith formation teacher. I enjoy camping , gardening. and outdoor activities,and cooking. I was a Fine Arts major in college, where I also took early education classes. I was also assistant nursery school teacher in my early 20s in Briarcliff , NY. I also enjoy photography.
I have 21 years of childcare exp. My first childcare job after college, was as a live out nanny. It is through this work that I learned I wanted to work with children. I went to school to be a photographer; I was working at a office at a studio at the time of my part time nanny job. I left the studio and started working in a daycare center.I worked for two years there in the two year old room. After I moved to CT to be closer to my future husband David. I continued to work in Daycare. I worked in a local Daycare center, for three years, with all age groups. I became licensed as daycare provider in my home for the next 15 years. I have decided I no longer wanted to open my home to childcare. I chose to run a children's art center here in Bethel. That did not work out. So I decided to work outside my home as a nanny. I like the idea of working one one one with a family.
I am 42 years old. I grew up in a small town an hour south of Rochester NY. I have 4 siblings, I am the baby. My parents were foster parents. They took in 69 foster children in 26 years. They had 3 biological children, and adopted my brother, and later me. So I often say that I have 72 siblings. David and I meet in college in RI, in 1987 we were friends for six years then we dated. We got married in Sep.1995. We have two boys Joe 12, and Julian 8. We like to hike,swim and take our cameras with us at all times. I also like to scrapbook, work with arts and crafts, and paint.
Hi! My name is Jennifer Peragine and I'm a graduate student at Tufts University studying to be a School Psychologist. I grew up in Bergen County, New Jersey and moved to New York City to complete my undergraduate education at NYU. I spent the past two years in Cambridge, MA until moving to Danbury to complete an internship in the North Salem public schools.
I love traveling, biking, and being outdoors. I enjoy all types of sports, but mostly tennis, basketball, and running. Art is one of my favorite hobbies and I recently became a crossword puzzle fanatic.
I've been tutoring throughout my high school and college careers. My goal in working with students is to help them feel good about learning and themselves. Teaching a child to be resilient will help them learn and succeed in school (socially and academically), as well as in life.
Hello, my name is Amber Fidel. I am currently an educator in the Greenburgh school district and I have twelve years of experience teaching children in grades one through five. I am well-versed in best teaching practices, such as Kagan Cooperative Learning structures and differentiated instruction. I have been involved in a variety of tutoring programs intended to further the academic advancement of students across every level. My years of working with third and fourth grade classes has provided me with a great deal of experience preparing students for high stakes assessments, such as the New York State English Language Arts, Math and Science exams. Additionally, I am a certified S.A.T instructor through the Princeton Review organization and have worked closely with high school students to familiarize them with, and prepare them for, their college admissions examinations.
