As Owner and General Manager of College Nannies and Tutors I have the privilege of leading an amazing team of nannies and tutors who have been providing customized childcare and tutoring since 2014.

College Nannies and Tutors has been a fun and rewarding journey and I enjoy working with our families, nannies and tutors to provide role models and exceptional care and tutoring. It is extremely fulfilling to be able to help restore balance to busy families through our partnerships, and to provide opportunities to our team for personal and professional growth.

I am a University Of Nevada Las Vegas graduate as of May 2015, with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Marketing. I was born and raised in Reno, Nevada where my whole family currently resides. I moved to Las Vegas in the summer of 2013 to finish up my schooling and to pursue a marketing position. I began my position here at College Nannies + Tutors in Summerlin, Nevada as a marketing intern, and while working as an intern I began to fall in love with what this company values and their value on education. Now, as Manager of Engagement, I oversee all of marketing and networking opportunities for our business to grow and become a larger part of our Summerlin, Las Vegas and Henderson community here in Nevada.

I am the Family Placement Manager at College Nannies and Tutors| Summerlin. I was born and raised in San Francisco and moved to Las Vegas in 2001. I have been blessed with a wonderful husband and a beautiful daughter. I love dogs and have two Boston Terriers named Sarah and Jiggs and a Pug named Edgar. A few of my favorite things are spending time with my family, going on walks with my dogs, exercising, and getting my daily dose of Starbucks. I have a long history of work experience -- much of which includes an extensive background in education. With my extensive background, I have found that education is the most rewarding for me.

The one thing I look forward to most about my job is meeting and working with the families to find that perfect fit/role model for their child(ren), whether they are looking for a nanny or a tutor, and ultimately establishing a long lasting relationship with the family. I believe strongly in our core values in helping families find their role model for their child (ren)’s happiness and academic success. The best part about working for CNT is seeing and feeling the energy of the families and kids. I truly have a passion for education and strong leadership. CNT has many areas to help a very busy family and I strongly believe that it is essential for every child to have a role model. As our mission statement perfectly says, we “build stronger families” by providing a role model based on the family’s needs.

Alyssa

Hello! My name is Alyssa I am originally from San Diego, California, and have resided here in Vegas for about 4 years now. I currently attend the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and am majoring in psychology and minoring in sociology. I’m an avid reader, lover of Pinterest, and go to guitar player. I grew up playing a lot of sports, specifically soccer, but also spent time running track and cross country as well.

I wanted to become a nanny because I have always loved working with children and found them incredibly inspiring. They have a refreshing outlook on life and are the sweetest reminders that the simplest things in life can make us happy. I also felt becoming a professional nanny would provide me with incredible opportunities that would be transparent with both my personal and professional life in helping me to become the well-rounded woman I aspire to be.

My favorite/most rewarding part of my job is being able to see the children grow. This especially applies to when you can see the child take to something you’ve introduced to them and see it impact them in a positive manner. It’s always fun when that becomes something unique to the relationship you have with them and continues on.

I love anything that involves crafting, music, or being outdoors! Depending on the child’s age, I always try to do some sort of art activity like painting, coloring, or any type of construction activity. The reason why I love using art activities is because it really highlight the child’s imagination. With all the technology there is now, I think we start to lose out on some of the more fundamental things that really stimulate that part of our mind. Art, music, and playing are all great ways to get involved and make for a better all around experience.

What sets me apart from other nannies is my ability to involve myself in the activities and games that the children want to do or that I bring for us to try. When researching possible activities I always go for things that would be fun to do together instead of something for them to do alone. I think involving yourself with these activities is crucial in building a bond with them and creating memories that will leave a positive impression on both the family and the child.

Savannah
Savannah

My name is Savannah my Major is Elementary Education, I am from Virginia and have been in Vegas for 2 years. I worked at a learning center in Virginia and I volunteered in the nursery at my church from the time that I was 13 until I moved here. I love kids and I love helping out families when it is needed. I want to be a role model for kids and I believe this is the best way.
The most rewarding part of my job is when parents and the kids want me to keep coming back and keep thanking me. Also when a parent trusts me 100% with their kids. A typical day watching kids for me would be lots of games, activities and interactions with the kids. I enjoy being outside, so outdoor games would be great plus I like to do crafts and bake.

I think the kids like most about me is I am always so weird and goofy around them. I think that kids need to be creative and have their minds always working so I love to have fun. I am also creative and want the kids see that creative side of me.

I think the things that set me apart from other nannies/babysitters is that I am very patient. This is important because kids can be kids sometimes and as long as you have patience it will be easier. Next is I have a lot of experience and I think that with my experience I have learned a lot about me as a person and also how to care for kids of all different ages.
