Some of our Nannies
I graduated from DePaul University with a major in Latin American and Latino Studies and minors in Intercultural Communication and Spanish. I will continue my studies in the fall at Illinois Institute of Technology in their Kent College of Law where I will seek to focus on family law. I have over 6 years of experience with childcare through babysitting and working at a preschool. I also have experience with tutoring children. I have experience working with children from infants to teenagers. I have always had a love and passion for children and welcome opportunities to continue to work with them.
Raising a 14yr old son has given me a lot of insight and experience with each developmental stage of a child. I have been a nanny and worked with many wonderful families throughout the years. I have had the privilege of looking after some of the brightest, kindest, creative children. I enjoy playing with children not just sitting on the sidelines.
Child safety is my primary objective. I enjoy being creative and active with the children I look after. My philosophy is that if the parents are out having a good time, I will make sure the kids are have just as much fun. I like to give children freedom to just be kids in a safe, nurturing, creative capacity. My passion for children has lead me to pursue a degree in Nursing. I am focusing on pediatric medicine, where there is more opportunity in prevention rather than curing. I have experience with infants through teens.
Some of our Tutors
I recently graduated from Loyola University with two degrees in History and Secondary Education. At Loyola University, I took rigorous courses in education and history, and gained considerable teaching experience from interning at middle schools and high schools in Chicago and Evanston. During the Fall semester, I student taught a diverse range of students at CICS Northtown High School. Since that time, I have become ever more passionate about education and the road to success. I have much experience tutoring. I pride myself in believing that every child and student, no matter his or her background, has strengths, unique abilities, and talents. Thus, it is my goal as a tutor and an educator to help students draw out and apply their strengths while assisting them in areas which are in need of improvement so that they can use their divergent and critical thinking to solve problems, become inspired, and have a strong sense of self-belief.
