With a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and a Master’s degree in Engineering, I built a career in advanced technology that empowers lives. As an Owner and Managing Director of College Nannies and Tutors, I work closely with our talented staff team leveraging our sophisticated role model matching technology to provide customized childcare and tutoring services in Laguna Niguel and surrounding area. Through our rigorous interviewing and screening process, we are proudly building a team of role models for parents to count on and for the new generation to look up to and learn from.
In my free time, I love cooking, cycling, playing the piano, and being the most important role model – a dad, to my two boys.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from UC Berkeley and continued on to pursue my PhD at Harvard University under full scholarship from National Institute of Health. Aspired to build a more creative career path, I opted out with a Master’s degree, moved to Los Angeles, and ended up as an executive leader in brand marketing. I am a firm believer that a solid education lays the foundation for achievements in life.
I am a proud parent to two boys who share my inquisitiveness and passion for life, science, music and art. As a franchise owner of College Nannies and Tutors, I am grateful of the opportunities to meet more parents and help them with what they need to build stronger families.
I am a good role model because I possess good qualities as a person and children can learn from that. Children see, children do so I believe it is best to be the kindest, genuine, most fun-loving person you can be and kids will see that and follow.
I am a good role model because I believe I have honest qualities which include strong morals, a sense of responsibility, and a friendly demeanor. I love working with kids, which is why I'm currently pursuing a degree in nursing at Michigan State University!
I have provided care to various families with children ranging from infant on up. I am in a sorority where we go to schools, read to children, and teach them how important reading is for their education. I volunteer at a hospital and work with children. I have a dog - I like all animals. I was an athlete in high school and I like to cook.
As a future elementary educator, I am passionate about learning and dedicated to helping students succeed by encouraging them and guiding their learning. I am committed to assisting students of all grade levels and abilities and am interesting in gaining experience in the field and perfecting my craft. I truly believe that a tutor’s job goes beyond helping with homework and preparing students for exams. In order to connect with a new student, I ask about their interests outside of school and pay attention to strengths and weaknesses to tailor my instruction to better meet their needs. Establishing mutual respect early will lead to more beneficial tutoring and positive results. I understand that my students look up to me and view me as a role model, and I am prepared to continue holding myself to the highest standards I have set for myself.
Growing up, I had a number of older role models that made a positive impact on my life and have helped shape me to become the person I am today. I know from firsthand experience that a tutor can be someone to look up to, and I do not take that responsibility lightly. I want to be able to build relationships with students through learning about their interests, needs, and traits. My goal as a tutor is to instill work ethic and character in students, which go beyond just a classroom setting. I have various life experiences such as being an immigrant, sibling, athlete, and working professional, which allows me to relate with a wide range of students.
