Hi, my name is Catherine and I am the Nanny Program Coordinator at College Nannies + Tutors of Summit, NJ. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut in Sociology and Human Development and Family Studies. While in college, I worked at a day care both in the classroom and in the office and was involved in numerous leadership positions on campus. Today, I am fortunate enough to pair together my childcare experience and leadership skills to do the same for College Nannies + Tutors. I work behind the scenes in the office and as a nanny for some of our wonderful families. I truly believe in the mission of Building Stronger Families® and am currently pursuing my master's degree in School Counseling at Montclair State University.
My name is Anlenny, I am from Dominican Republic. I grew up in a traditional family with 3 children, where I was the eldest. I always took care of my younger sisters and this helped me to learn to lead by example - they were always watching me. I used to write poetry, and even had an article published in a newspaper when I was 14. I am a hardworking person and I love learning new things. I love languages and love teaching them. My native language is Spanish, but I am also fluent in French and English, and I speak a little Italian. I love multicultural activities. I enjoy cooking, music and dancing.
Hello, my name is Dylan, I am 19 years old and currently attending college at Raritan Valley Community College. I have attended this university for one year and am transferring to a four year university this fall, still unsure of where yet I have to keep my options open. I am a very optimistic, smart, athletic, enthusiastic young man. I was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina where I lived for one year, then moved to Louisiana where I lived for four years, until my mother decided to move back to where she was raised and that is where I still currently reside today which is known as Bridgewater, New Jersey. I have many goals set for myself in life. I plan on graduating college with a degree and working for the CIA down in Washington that is my main life goal to accomplish. I have other goals of traveling the world and going sky diving which I plan on doing sometime during my life. I am a respectable polite young man and that is something I value a lot, proper educate. It makes a person more presentable and likeable, it teaches someone wrong from right, and represents a mutual respect for everyone.
After attending Randolph High School, I received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude and studied Calculus IIII, General Physics I & II, and several other advanced courses in mathematics and engineering mechanics. I started my tutoring career during college, helping classmates and younger students, and since then I've helped students of all ages and abilities develop the skills and confidence to improve their grades and test scores. I help students prioritize their efforts both during and outside of our sessions, ensuring that each student is practicing the most pertinent material given his or her unique situation. This is especially important in standardized test preparation and is something that no test prep book can offer.
I worked for a Fortune Global 500 consulting firm for six years, primarily with professional sports league clients. I've traveled to 19 countries in nearly two years abroad and worked in Chile and Colombia, developing basic Spanish language skills. I also enjoy surfing, snowboarding, hiking, cycling, and recording and editing my own guitar music.
Currently, I am teaching 7th Grade Biology in Chester, NJ. For my undergraduate degree, I pursued History and Secondary Education. I graduated from Whippany Park High School, County College of Morris, and New Jersey City University with the honors of Magna Cum Laude and continued my education by completing three more certifications in Middle School Math, Science, and Language Arts. For my Master's I am working toward a degree in Instructional Technology at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Outside of school, I coach a club softball team. Additionally, I enjoy hiking and reading and playing softball and soccer in my spare time.
