Dave has many years of small and start-up business experience. He has started, owned and built businesses as diverse as home construction to alternate energy technology. He has a bent for all things mechanical, and is passionate about California K-12 schooling. Dave has called the Diablo Valley his home for 4 decades—he went to high school in Lafayette, college at Stanford and has raised his three successful children in homes throughout the Valley. Through College Nannies & Tutors, Dave hopes to do his small part to bring California K-12 education into the 21st century.
A Bay Area native, Shelley has called Diablo Valley her home since marriage to Dave in 1977. A graduate of the University of California at Davis, Shelley has based her business exploits and raised her three successful children exclusively in the Valley. She has professional skils in customer service, Real Estate brokerage and in the printing and graphic arts industries. Years on technical support desks have honed her listening skills and helped tap a deep well of patience. For fun and relaxation Shelley sings with award-winning a cappella groups
Isabella joined College Nannies and Tutors in 2009 as a nanny. She wanted to have a flexible job that allowed for her to also care for her year old baby girl. As the business expanded she joined Dave and Shelley in becoming the Nanny Placement Manager to grow the business even further. With hard work and determination to grow the business she received the Nanny Placement Manager of the Year award in 2010 at the national conference. She continues to work in the nanny division as the BUCA staffing manager. She received Rock Star manager of the year award in 2014 as she strives to make College Nannies and Tutors the top franchise in the country.
Taylor's swim coaching experience helps to make her a great nanny. She is patient, and she also knows how to motivate children to do their best. Taylor has staffed more than 1,000 hours with more than 60 different families and kids of all ages for College Nannies + Tutors. Taylor has been awarded the coveted Magna Cum Laude Nanny status. We feel very fortunate to have Taylor as part of our team.
Working with children has always been a passion of mine. I have tutored for Give Every Child a Chance and loved it. I'm majoring in Liberal Arts and want to be a grade school teacher in the future. I love my job at College Nannies and Tutors.
Christina has worked with families for College Nannies & Tutors throughout the Bay Area. Her willingness to work and feedback from placements are exemplary. Christina has shown exceptional talent and grace and was the quickest CN&T employee to achieve "SuperStar" nanny status, and the first ever to attain Summa Cum Laude status within the organization. She has logged nearly 9000 field hours, serving more than 500 individual families.
Christina loves working with children. She's always been around children and plans to always be. Christina plans to become a grade school teacher after she graduates. She believes that she could never take the spot of any parent, but always does her best to help.
Christina tutored when she was in high school and occasionally tutored her brother and sister, as well as their friends. She is the oldest of three, so she is the fun and responsible one.
Christina loves being a nanny because she loves developing a relationship with the children she works with, as the day progresses. What she loves even more, is coming back to work for a family that she has not worked for in awhile, and seeing that the children have grown bigger and have learned new things. Christina feels like she has been a part of their growth.
When Christina is not nannying, she is usually spending time with her family and friends. Christina loves arts and crafts and if she could she would do it all the time. She is very creative and is always looking for a new project to work on; she has paintings and drawings all over her room.
